When James urged people to be patient, he was writing to people who were facing all sorts of trials, hardships, persecution and suffering specifically because they followed the way of Jesus.
What type of suffering or persecution have you or are you experiencing because of your relationship to Christ?
What is your habitual response to suffering?
How can we learn to ‘be patient' and ‘establish our hearts’ rather than ‘grumble’?
